What it says, and what it does not
- A checkable record. The result is recorded by SpeedOf.Me during this test, with the time and network address taken by our server. The code on the image opens our copy.
- The line as recorded. The provider and city of the connection you tested on, and how the address is classified (for example a home line). It cannot tell mobile data from a fixed line, so it never claims either.
- The holder. Your name as you enter it, and a phone number confirmed by a one-time code.
- The limits, printed on the image itself. Measured in a browser over Wi-Fi or cable. Identity and home address not verified. Evidence of the connection used at the time, not a guarantee.

- Confirm your phone. We text you a one-time code.
- Your certificate. Issued at once: the image to attach, its code, and a copy by email.

What does it cost?
The price is shown after your test, in your local currency where we can, with tax included.
Can I get a refund?
If something goes wrong (the certificate never arrives, its check page does not work, or you were charged twice), reply to your certificate email or write to support@speedof.me for a full refund. For any other reason, such as an employer not accepting it, ask within 30 days of buying it and tell us why; we decide case by case. A refunded certificate is withdrawn, and its check page then says it is no longer valid.
How long is it valid?
30 days from issue. An employer who opens the code after that sees that it has expired, together with what was recorded.
Which phone numbers can be confirmed?
Mobile numbers in more than 80 countries, among them the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, most of Europe, the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and Mexico. The form lists them all.
What happens to my details?
Your name, email and phone are removed 30 days after the certificate expires; the result and the provider stay as anonymous statistics. You can delete the certificate and your details sooner with the private link in your email. See our Privacy Policy.
Who is it for?
Anyone asked to show their internet is good enough for remote work or study: job applicants, students joining online programs, freelancers and contractors.
The job asks for a backup connection. Can the certificate show it?
Yes. Within a week of getting your certificate, the link in your email lets you run one test on your backup connection (a second line, mobile data or a hotspot). It is added to the same certificate as a second line you declared as your backup, with its provider and speeds.
Can I add more tests?
Yes. From the next day, the link in your email lets you add up to two more checks within the week, at least 12 hours apart, and a backup line. They are added to the same certificate, so employers see how your connection holds up.
